TCS worked with the Early Childhood Resource Centre (ECRC) and the Ministry of Education, which is funded by UNICEF, on early childhood education care and development.Through the provision of special training for teachers, the project aimed to improvetheir capacity in dealing with children attending the kindergarten, especially children with learning difficulties.

The project centred aroundpromoting a comprehensive, integrated and developmental approach to education of children with special needs. Critical to the project was with the assumption that the development of the child’s cognitive, physical and psychosocial processes will eventually lead to the development of a well-integrated Palestinian child.

The project included professional training for staff and workshops introducing parents to the way children are educated in the kindergarten so that parents can reinforce these values at home.
